REQUIREMENTS FOR CHURCH WEDDING

1. Both parties, the Bride and Groom must be baptized catholic and should
present themselves to the office for scheduling and to fill up the
marriage application form ONE MONTH before the wedding.

A.5 For NON-FILIPINO CITIZENS, please submit a copy of Certificate


of legal capacity to contract marriage issued by your respective embassy
of Consul. These document must be submitted on the Pre-Marriage
Seminar

A. FOR NEW CANDIDATES:


A.1 BAPTISMAL AND CONFIRMATION CERTIFICATE of both the
bride and groom, these documents must be new and be annotated: For
Marriage Purposes issued within one month before the wedding and
should be original copy. These document must be submitted on the PreMarriage Seminar.
A.2 MARRIAGE LICENSE- The couple must apply for a marriage
license in the office of the Local Civil Registrar. (form no. 10) and must be
original copy.
A.3 CENOMAR (Certificate of NO-MARriage) from NCSO for above
25 yrs. Old. These documents must be submitted on the Pre-Marriage
Seminar.
A.4 PUBLICATION OF MARRIAGE BANNS. The couple must post
the schedule of their wedding in their both parishes 3 Sundays/weeks
before the wedding and should be returned on the interview.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
1. Submit one copy of 2x2 picture of bride and groom to be attached in the
wedding application form.
2. Attend a ONE-DAY PRE-CANA COUNSELLING SEMINAR (Natural
Family Planning methods and Religious Instructions) given by the Family
Life Apostolate
3. Prepare also the complete lists of principal sponsors (Ninong/Ninang) type
their complete names in a peace and clear paper to avoid complaints. This
should be submitted to the office during interview date.
4. Confession will be done one (1) day before the wedding or to what has been
scheduled by the parish clerk.
5. Please review the data written in your marriage license before you present to
the Parish registrars office. In case of error or corrections please resolve at the
MCR office.
6. Strictly we do not conduct/perform:
a. Garden Wedding and;
b. If paty/ies are divorced
