Work is the product of the force applied and the distance the object moves.
Work = Force (F) Distance (D)
If a force is applied to an object and the object does not move, no work is done! The same goes to if the object moves with no force applied to it! In the Metric system, the unit of Work is the Joule. One joule is the work done by a force of 1 Newton acting through a distance of 1 meter. Issue: 01 Revision: 00
