Letter 1 letter from apprentice chef Pierre

Apprentice chef Pierre,

Australias Best Restaurant,
Anytown, Australia.

Dear students,
My name is Pierre and I am an apprentice chef at one of the best
restaurants in Australia. I am a student just like you but I am
learning how to be a great chef like my boss chef Luis.
Chef Luis has given me the job of preparing food for a banquet
and I am afraid to tell him that I have forgotten some of my
training and as a result, I do not know what to do.
He has told me I need to cook the food for the banquet using
conduction and convection and reminded me that I would have
learnt all about heat during my early training. But I cannot
remember it all being an apprentice chef is hard work.
I know that schools teach all about heat in their science lessons,
so I thought that you might like to write to me and tell me what
you have been learning about heat.
The banquet is in about six weeks, so I have plenty of time to
catch up. I might need to send you some questions to answer or
problems to solve any help you could give me would be greatly
appreciated.
Thank you for all your help! I am looking forward to hearing your
ideas about heat from each of your lessons.
Thank you,
Pierre.
