POPCORN BAG BOOK REPORT

You will read a fiction book of your choice. The book you choose needs to be
a grade level appropriate chapter book and at least 40 pages long.

After reading your book, you will decorate a white popcorn bag, which will be
provided. You will bring your book project to school and present it your
classmates.
Project Requirements:
1. On the front of the bag you must have the title of your book, the
authors name and an illustration you will draw from the story. (This may
not be a copy of the books cover. Choose an event you really liked and
draw it!)
2. On the back of the bag, you will write a summary of your book. The
summary can be typed or written in your neatest handwriting. Please
make sure your summary is written in complete sentences, using correct
spelling and proper punctuation. Your summary should explain the
beginning, middle and end of your story. It should give a clear picture of
what your story was about. Please include story elements like characters,
setting, problem and solution.
3. You will present your popcorn bag to the class. Be ready to read your
summary and share your illustration. Please remember to speak loudly and
clearly, and use eye contact.
4. We will have a popcorn snack when we listen to the students share their
book reports.
