BIT OBJECTIVES

specialization (Automotive and Electrical Technology) as agents in attaining the national
objectives
(NIC-hood status).

leaders.
3. To equip students with knowledge and skills necessary for technical vocational instruction,
entrepreneurship and industrial and service shop management.
4. To elevate the morale of manual labor by educating the youth with quality technological
education
and skills development and;
5. To provide students with adequate industrial training and seminars to cope with the rapid
changes in technology.

Course Description:
This course deals with the art and science of power system in electricity-related industries
such as power utilities and manufacturing enterprises.
General Objective
To understand to study the characteristics of power systems concepts
Specific Objectives:
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
1. Identify several subsystems
2. Understand different generating plants, transmission lines and substations, total
network control, equipment-based local control, and protection
3. Identify phenomena ranging from power (fundamental) frequency to lightning and
switching surges.
