Nurses' communication with patients is important for patient care. The way nurses talk to patients, using simple language and active listening techniques, makes patients feel more comfortable and willing to share information. This study examined how nurses' use of specific linguistic approaches in talking with patients affected the patients' responsiveness and satisfaction with their care.
