Attention getter: Boys and girls we are going to do a worksheet with the sight
word like and writing the word like in a sentence.

Give each child the worksheet (10 minutes)


If children finish, allow them to do alphabet games at middle
carpet until the whole class is done.

What you will do to teach the concept(s): Students will learn print awareness as
we read through the book, Here Are My Hands. They will be able to draw things
to do with their hands after we read and discuss it.

Guided practice: Students will listen to instructions about what kind of objects
we can use with our hands.

Get some ideas from the students, draw on the board as a
