OPTICAL SYSTEMS AND CARDINAL POINTS

What are optical systems: they are combination of lenses, mirrors, and prisms
that constitutes the optical part of an optical instrument (as a microscope or
telescope, the human eye).
Cardinal Points: are points, on the optical axis of a thick lens, from which its
imaging properties can be deduced.
There are 3 types of cardinal points

The focal point F

The principle point P
The Nodal point N

Each this points has a pair- there is a front and a back
