Class Goals:

To easily and effectively communicate ideas and information through writing


To understand and correctly apply the rules of grammar
To critically read, analyze, and appreciate literature
To actively cultivate a biblical worldview through which all learning is inspected

Daily Materials:

Pencils
A black and white speckled journal
Red, black, and blue pens
Loose-leaf, college ruled writing paper
WCS Agenda, which the student is responsible to write in daily assignments and is to be signed weekly by
a parent
Literature book Mosdos Press Literature: Gold
Vocabulary book

Prepare:

An English section in the student binder


Cover the language and literature books with a paper bag, stretchy cloth covers may be put over the paper
bag

Homework:

Homework is assigned daily and is due according to the agenda due date
Homework is due at the beginning of class
Returned homework is to be kept until the end of the quarter for review and study
Vocabulary homework is due every Thursday
Vocabulary tests are given every Thursday
Reading Logs will be collected each quarter
