Behavioral Characteristics

Discuss the general behavioural characteristics of all the children in your class
with the class teacher and record these in table form. E.g. Table 4 below.

Suggestions to
help improve
behaviour?

Algalah

In the lining up tome,

She is always craying
if she did not be the
first in the girl line.

She want to
show the
teacher and her
frinds that she is
important and
she think that
who is in the
first line he is
the best.

Shaikah

She always bucking

and not listening to
the teacher. Alsom
when the teacher talk
to her, she imitate
her teacher badly.

She might think

that, if she did
these things
(Not listening to
the teacher and
bucking), she
will get what
she want
imaditly also the
teacher will
listen to her.

The teacher can

let her be the
first in the line
but not always.
If she is cryed
again, the
teacher talk to
her that what
she is doing is
wrong and she
have to give her
friends the
chance also so
her friends will
like her or
otherways they
will ignore her.
The teacher can
set with her
induvualy and
explain for her
that what she is
doing is wrong
and bad and she
must respect to
be respected so
her teacher and
her friends will
love her. If she
still doing that,
she can
punished her by
not leting her to
play in the
playground with
her friends.

Majed

He is the most crying

child in the class
even if he did
something wrong and
the teacher punished
him.

I think that, he
is has been
often spoiled at
home.

The teacher can

use the eye
contact way so
he will
understand that
he must stop
crying.

Reframe these behavioral characteristics and suggestions for improvements.

Discuss possibilities for implementing activities using these resources with your peer
List of resources that target specific mathematical skills and concepts in the school
Mathematical Resources
found in the preschool
classroom:

Unfix cubes

Mathematics Skill / Concept that can be

developed with it.

Counting and know the

quantity of the numbers.
2- Math concepts such as,
more and less.
3- Matching colors.
4- Pattering the cubes
according to the colors.
For example: (red, red,
green, red, red).

Exploring on possible activities to develop

mathematical skills and concepts using these
materials

1-

Putting in the board a

picture of the fruits and they
have to put the cubes while
watching how many fruits in
the picture (Work as a
group).

Attribute
Blocks:

Numbers paper
and the
colored stones.

1- Naming the shapes such

as, Circle, square and
rectangle.
2- Naming the colors:
yellow, pink and red.
3- Counting the shapes.
4- Classifying the shapes
according to their sizes.
For example: (Small
blocks together and the
big blocks together).

1- Learn the quantity of

the numbers.
2- One to one
corresponding
(Putting the colored
stones on the points).
3- Matching the color of
the stone with the
color of the points of
the numbers in the
paper.
4- Pattering the colored
stones (Red, red, blue,
red, red).

Giving each group a box of Attribute

blocks and they have to math them
(Working as a group).

Individually, in the free

time, they can do it and
play by their own and
discus together.
