As I walked into the room, Mrs. Van Woerkom was sitting at the kidney table. The students were
filling out their reading journal on the Chromebooks.
Within one minute, Mrs. Van Woerkom called a small group over to the table to begin work on
word attack skills. They group completed the task together with support from Mrs. V.
Mrs. Van Woerkom briefly met with a student who was struggling with the journal and reminded
all students to review the worksheet for ideas.
I noticed you take the time to respond to the student journals. Excellent job! The feedback will
most certainly benefit and motivate the students.

Nice job using reinforcement, application, and feedback skills to motivate your students.
