JOB SUMMARY:
To supervise the operation of the QC functions at project sites & Head Office by
implementing the Project Quality Control Plans and Procedures in accordance with
the Company QC procedures, International standards and specific contract
requirements.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. To lead the team of QC Inspectors for monitoring the ongoing daily
construction activities.
2. Study contract & specification thoroughly for developing PQP and ITPs to meet
customers expectation/requirements comprehensively.
3. Regular site visits for foreseeing the potential deficiencies based on his
physical experience to share with construction crew and guidance to QC
Inspectors.
4. Coordination with NDT agencies for inspection & testing requirements.
Ensuring the availability of QC Inspector during any operations.
5. Initiating internal Log Book Entries/NCRs to construction crew for effective
implementation of project quality plan, ITPs, written procedures, project
specifications, IFC drawings etc.
6. Responsible for ensuring that, construction methods are in line with QC Plans
and are well understood by concerned supervisors, places emphasis and
concentration on quality cost reduction opportunities.
7. Emphasizing on the control of documents and records by advising the
document controllers, QC inspectors.
8. Conducting routine internal meetings with QC inspectors for further vigilance
to the potential problems which must be tackled accordingly to avoid nonconformities.
9. Responsible for maintaining instrument surveillance record for accuracy and
calibration by ensuring all equipment under use have valid calibrated dates.
10.Responsible for Qualification of welding procedures as well as welders for all
welding related tasks at site/works.
The duties listed above are not all inclusive. The Quality Control Lead
will follow other instructions and perform other related duties as
requested by the Manager QHSE.
ACADEMIC EDUCATION:
Degree in Engineering discipline
(Preferably Mechanical
Engineering)
COMPUTER SKILLS:

CERTIFICATION:
CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector
NACE Coating inspector
QMS: ISO 9001:2015 Lead Quality

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

Experience: 5 to 7 Years QC experience(KSA) which shall contain as minimum 3
Years directly relating to supervision of construction activities in the contract
scope of work in Oil & Gas EPC/Construction companies, Petrochemical, Chemical,
Metal and Power sector industry with SABIC & ARAMCO. Must have knowledge in
Piping, Mechanical, Welding, Structural, NDT, Civil, Electrical & Instrumentation.
