Mika OMeara has been a guitar student of mine since April 2010, taking
private lessons with me on a weekly basis.
Musically, Mika is naturally gifted. Instead of resting on these laurels, she
is also an extremely diligent and conscientious student, often forging
ahead on unassigned pieces. She is extremely willing, both to learn and to
be taught.
She is a confident young girl and has therefore been an integral part of
every guitar concert and school musical production, both singing and
playing her guitar. During group activities she naturally takes on a
leadership role, albeit in a very accommodating and non assertive way.
Mika has worked diligently and achieved excellent results in all her
external classical guitar examinations through the Royal Schools of
Music. She has recently completed her Grade 5 Practical Guitar Exam
which is outstanding for someone her age.
