Religion: This week we are working on the section

in our text reviewing the Christmas story. We are
also learning about the Feast of Epiphany. Miss
Rosa is sharing the traditions of Mexico with the
students in Spanish class about the stories of
Christmas and the three kings.
Reading: We are working with long and short
vowel sounds. We practiced adding endings ing
and ed. We practiced recalling details and putting
events in story order. We read non-fiction leveled
readers in class. We read a special story about a
very brave dog in the Super Duper Magazine.
Math: We reviewed the addition strategy of
counting on and using a ten frame to solve addition
and subtraction problems. We also practiced using
addition to solve subtraction. For example: if we
want to solve 15-7, we can use the addition
sentence 7+ __ =15 to find the answer.
