Part II: Case Study [8]

Mr. Anan (P.Eng.) works for an engineering consulting firm, Company Zina,
which specializes in waste water management. Company Zina recently finished
work for the small town of Springfield and has now been contracted to do work
for another town, Magden, in an adjoining municipality where the general
environment, soil conditions, and waste water management options are similar.
As part of Mr. Anans responsibilities, he will have to produce an interim report
outlining the environmental analysis and proposed solutions for the town of
Magden.

Mr. Anan knows that he has some important family commitments around the
time of the scheduled interim report and, as a result, he may have a difficult time
meeting his family commitments and at the same time meeting the reports
deadline. Mr. Anans supervisor suggests that since Company Zina prepared
the report for Springfield, and the analysis of the Magden conditions are likely to
be similar, Mr. Anan could save time to help meet the deadline by copying the
field data and analysis of the Springfield report into the Magden report.
