: DESIGN OF AN EFFICIENT HUMAN EMOTION

BASED AUTOMATED CALL DIVERT IN CALL CENTERS.
: DSP PRODUCT

Existing Technology
Manual Assignment of Query calls to the concerned responder
Random assignment of calls.
Problems:

Requires a Psycho-analyst to identify the the emotional status of the caller to

properly assign the call to a suitable responding person.
Mood of the caller is completely neglected .

Need of the new product

This AUTOMATED CALL DIVERT system makes the call assignment process easier
and proper.
It saves the service time, reduces the labor cost and brings customer satisfaction.

Objective

To design a efficient automated call divert system for call centers.

The emtion detection can be optimized by using standard emotional speech
database.

Advantages of the new product

Desirable response can be easily obtained.
Bring in automation to the call center activity.
Exhibits excellent customer satisfaction.
Reduction in labor cost.
Compact and economic.
Opportunities for new product
All private and public service sectors would like to use theis product.
Virtual Call Centers, Inbound Call Centers, Outbound Call Centers and Bilingual Call
Centers will get benefit out of it.
Outlines of the new idea proposed to be further developed
Emotion of the speech signal is identified by using Some statistics of the pitch,
the first and second formants, energy and the speaking rate
Pitch feature helps in recogniting the mood and identity of the speaker.
Based on the emotion the call is diverted to the proper responder.
Constructing the novel aperture (Slot) design using different types of substrates.

iv) Relevance for the micro and small enterprises
SMEs can be greatly benefitted by this kind of finding due to the reduction
in the labor cost and increase in customer satisfaction.
v) Commercial adaptability
It is a commercially adaptable device. Already existing manual system of call divert
can be easily replaced by this product.
A3) If the idea involves use of existing intellectual property, give details of the owner of the
same and arrangements of sourcing the innovation and terms of its commercialization
Nil
A4) Specify the potential areas of application in industry/market :

A5)

All customer service centers who are looking for the avenues of improvement
on call divert and customer satisfaction.
The great potential area of application is in call centers..

Specify newness/ uniqueness of the innovation (better performance/ new features/

improvements):
A new kind in call centers to speedup the work and to enhance customer satisfaction.
Following are the improvements in the working environment
i)
Compact
ii)
Ease of handling and interfacing
iii)
Exhibits lower human work and less time for call divert.
iv)
simple in design
v)
High customer satisfaction.

A6) What is already available in market? What is the market potential? What value it would
add in market:
call divert kits which do not consider the emotional status of the caller available in the
market. It becomes novel and technically sound product with the embedding of emotion
detection capabilities in the call divert system which will find potential commercial market. It
