Native American Reports Start February 21
I have attached to the newsletter a detailed letter, rubric, and list of tribes for
Addition and subtraction, Mixed
Math:
the Native American report. I want to emphasize that this is a report process
multiplication timed test
that will be done in class. I have outlined the exceptions to this on the rubric. I
Reading: Journey to the Moon, Reading groups, will begin on Feb. 21st explaining the process to the class and we will begin

close reading, authors purpose, predicting researching for our first paragraph. Since this is the first in-depth report many
of the students have done, I feel it is important to teach the skills in class to help
Language: Adverbs, Synonyms, and Antonyms students understand the process. Your student will be picking their tribe this
Friday. I have told them to come prepared with their top 3 choices because only 3

students will be allowed to choose one tribe (due to limited resources for all of

Bible Verses: Please make sure your student is practicing their Bible verse. Some
the Masters Assembly kids do not seem to know the verse at all when they begin reciting it.
