Dear Katelyn Arledge,

I hope you are well and enjoying a great semester at Winthrop! I just wanted to take a few minutes to
express my gratitude for all you did to make our mission project to Costa Rica in July 2016 such a
huge success! Everything you participated in was invaluable in opening doors to communication with
those living in the community in which we served. Your dance skills were of particular benefit during
our time in La Escuela Las Palmas in Caas, Guanacaste, Costa Rica. Because you shared of your
skills and gifts, many young girls in that school had an exposure to the arts that most will never have
the opportunity to experience.

Your involvement in the English classes were so helpful in getting people to open up. Your art work
and games with the kids at the baseball field was incredibly helpful in reaching those on the periphery
of the main baseball outreach activity. The house-to-house work you participated in encouraged many.
You even stepped outside the main scope of the project work to help out in the kitchen!

Thank you so much for being so versatile, and having the attitude to do whatever it takes to reach our
project objectives! You were a blessing to have with us, and you will always be a welcomed addition
to any project I lead.
