    What details in the painting catch your attention?


    What questions of curiosity are sparked by the painting?
    What conclusions can you make that are based on information in the painting?

    The details that caught my attention in the painting were that he used a very small selection of
    colors, blacks, whites, grays, and deep blues and greens in order to make an image that shows
    distress and disorder. What also caught my attention is the large amounts of overlapping going
    on, especially in the center where it is really hard to figure out what belongs to what. One
    question that I have is why did Picasso include animals like horses, bulls. From this painting I
    can conclude that while Guernica was being bombed and attacked by German troops, the city
    was most likely in an extreme state of disorder and confusion from being attacked.
