2016/2017 Behavior Committee

Who: Anyone is welcome to join, but below is a list of our musts.

Matilda Tredway- meeting facilitator

Time Commitment: Wednesday afternoons, 3:15-4:15 (Start Date- Feb. 3rd)

2015/2016 School Year-

Bimonthly, Wednesday meetings: to kick-off the committee

Monthly, Wednesday meetings: once a routine and task delegation is in place

2016/2017 School Year-

Bimonthly, Wednesday meetings: for successful implementation and support

Monthly, Wednesday meetings: once a behavior plan is taking off

Each member will receive a free copy of Conscious Discipline by Becky Bailey. Each
member will share an assigned chapter from the book.

- Possible credit for book study over the summer


Objectives

- Share representatives behavior strategies, plans, and expectations


- Collaborate to form school-wide behavior expectations
- Design a common school-wide behavior system (common language, strategies,
tools, etc.)
- Design a school-wide behavior system that reflects Needhams unique school
culture, staff, IB, and is specific to all areas of the building (hall, cafeteria,
playground, etc.)
- Collaborate with and support Needham staff in the consistent implementation of
the school-wide behavior plan for the 2016/2017 school year
- Tweak school-wide behavior plan as needed, based off of staff feedback and
student success
