PARAAQUE SCIENCE HIGH SCHOOL

PROGRESS REPORT for OCTOBER

Time flies so fast and another month had passed. Different experiences
had helped me to face different hindrances that life may offer. On the
other hand, I can say that this month had been busy and stressful yet a
fun month.

DEBATE

I included this even though it was only a batch project because, for me, it's
one of the highlights of the month. Debate is one of my favorite things to
do. Aside from reading and fiction writing, it is also where I can fully
express myself. In a debate, one must be able to have a sturdy and strong
opinion that ia backed up by supporting facts. This activity will test one's
skill to slightly warp the facts without violating rules and laws. Also,
reasoning is one of the macro skills in learning and thinking.

MMP

Every October, the United Nations (UN) month is celebrated. In ParSci,

there is a contest that involves every section that is the Mister and Miss
ParSci, hence the MMP. This is a pageant-like event where every section
must represent a random country. For this year, the SHS represented
Brazil. The celebration is a blast. In addition, it was lit.

DEFENSE (IP)

We were tasked to perform an investigatory project, and to make a

product that we may sell. Our group decided to have a comparative study
instead of making another product. In our IP, we compared the effectivity,
efficiency and longetivity of orange's wick to lemon's wick. To elaborate,
the wick of each fruit was compared to the wick of a candle. After several
trials and the completion of the papers, we must defend our investigatory
project like defending a thesis paper. Luckily, it ended up well.
FINALS AND REQUIREMENT WEEK

It was held during the last weeks of October. Other subject teachers
crammed the tests and made the students cram their requirements
because they announced it late. For every student's opinion that is the
genuine definition of the phrase "kinain na ng sistema". On the other
hand, we, students, cannot blame teachers because we know that being a
teacher is hard; and aside from their job in schools, they also have innate
'jobs' in their homes.

PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED

This month had been a tough month for me because i had been frail and
sickly. Also, I experienced problems regarding tardiness.

SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM

My solution to being sickly is enough rest and discipline to sleeping hours.

On the other hand, my punctuality is still on the process.
