This crafty point guard could score
against anybody at any time, often
navigating through the trees to average
18 points and 6 assists for coach Kenny
Sykes. Thomas guided the Knights to
the state semifinals.
COACH OF THE YEAR
Eddie J. Hamilton
Fair Park
Despite dealing with news his school
would be closing, Hamilton guided the
Indians through District 1-4A going 8-0.
His team finished 28-8 overall and
advanced to the Class 4A quarterfinals
before falling to Woodlawn.
ALL-AREA MVP
Brandon Rachal
Natchitoches Central, Senior
Rachal did a little bit of everything this
past season averaging a double-double
of 20 points and 12 rebounds, which
earned him an LSU scholarship. Rachal
was recently selected the MVP of the
LHSCA All-Star game.
COACH OF THE YEAR
Bradley McLaren
Zwolle
Not that winning state titles is unusual
for Zwolle, but the Hawks won their
15th Class B title this season. Zwolle
finished 33-7 on the season as it tied
Southern Lab for the most state titles in
any LHSAA class.
