Mole Concept

By: Kimberly Ascencio

A Specific Volume
The volume of one mole STP(0 degree C and 1.000 atm) is 22.41L.
What is a mole?
Mole is also spelled (mol),In chemistry a standard scientific unit for measuring
large quantities of very small entities such as atoms, molecules,or other specified
particles.
History Of Mole
Back then before the mole concept was developed. There was an idea of chemical
equivalency. The historical equivalent is not the same as its modern
counterpart.Historical equivalent is not the same as a mole but they both indicate
different masses of two substance can react with the same amount of another
substance.
A Specific Number Of Particles
Particles is to be describe a mole is a grouping unit such as pair, dozen,or
gross, the difference between a mole and the other grouping unit are the
magnitude of the number represented and how the number is obtained. If the
number of particles in mole cannot be counted the value must be measured
indirectly.
A Specific Mass
To determine the chemical amount of a sample,we use the substance molar mass
which is the mass per mole particles. To find the molar mass of an element or
compound determine the atomic, molecular, of formula weight and express that
value as g/mole.
