Honors Calculus Related Rates Project

For this project, you will write an original related rates problem that differs
from the problems that we have solved in class. You will then complete all of
the mathematical steps of the problem and write an explanation of the
significant steps in the solution. Finally, you will choose a way to display your
problem and solution. You may choose to create a physical representation of
the problem (such as a shoebox diorama or a poster), or you may create an
electronic representation. The medium that you choose should illustrate your
problem effectively: in other words, it should enhance a viewers
understanding of the problem. If you choose to use an electronic
representation, I highly encourage you to think of a more creative approach
than a Power Point Presentation!

Your submission needs to include:

1) A clearly written statement of the problem

2) A step-by-step solution process for the problem (including written
explanations)
3) A visual representation of the problem (using a medium of your choice)

Please see the rubric on the back of this page for detailed expectations and
grading criteria.

Your project is due on Wednesday, December 14th, 2016 at the beginning of

D period.
