In the former account, O Theophilos, I
have dealt with all that our Lord
Jesus began to do and teach, until
after He had given Commandments,
through the Holy Spirit to the
Apostles - whom He had Chosen -
on the Day when He was taken up.
To them He had presented Himself
alive after His Passion by many
proofs, Appearing to them during
Forty Days, and speaking of the
Kingdom of God.
And while with them, He charged them:
Do not depart from Jerusalem, but
wait for the Promise of the Father,
which you heard from Me.
For John Baptised with water you
will be Baptised with the Holy Spirit
before many days.
When they had come together, they
