Classroom Newsletter May 1st, 2017

Asalamou Alykoum, during the week of May 1, we will begin week 29 in our curriculum.
During this week we will introduce the letter Rr, the sound of the letter, and the
alteration words. We will introduce the number 8, the color blue, and the shape of the
diamond and we will count from 1-40. During this week the children will participate in a
variety of multi-sensory experiences, seek support in directions when needed, listen to
stories, ask and answer questions, understand the difference between direction words,
use technology to further their exploration, and to be able to recognize the beginning
sounds of letters and words. The children will also expand and connect their vocabulary
through listening to stories, conversations and music, recognize vowels and words,
identify numbers 1-7, tell how they the shape of the numbers are either the same or
