Seminar on Herbal Plants Uses and Preparation in Barangay Magsaysay

INTRODUCTION:

One of the main purposes of Community Health Nursing is to connect with people in the
community wherein the residents are involved in the health program that will be conducted by
the health care practitioners such as student nurses. This is to strengthen the health care system of
Barangay Magsaysay by having the residents to participate in any activities that will be given by
student nurses. One of these activities are seminar on herbal uses and preparation in which the
student nurses will invite the residents of Barangay Magsaysay to attend the seminar. This
activity aim to widen the awareness of the residents about the herbal uses which can benefit the
family living in the community.

OBJECTIVES:

General:

Through Community health nursing Seminar on herbal plants the community will be empowered
and widen their awareness about the herbal uses which can benefit the family living in the
community.

Specific:

At the end of 8 hours, the residents will be able to:

Identify the benefits of herbal plants available in their community and how it can be used
for certain illnesses.
Learn and demonstrate on how to prepare those herbal plants for usage.
Enhance the awareness of the every individual about the herbal plants and its uses in
treating some illnesses.
Gain knowledge about these herbal plants.
