Tripping Hazard Bags, Tables, A Tripping Hazard could be
and chairs prominent in our chosen area which
could be due to bags being left out,
tables being out of place, and chairs
too. This could lead to minor injuries
such as bruises or grazes, but could
also lead to catastrophic events
such as brain damage or even

Low Hanging Lights Low Hanging Lights could be
extremely dangerous for taller
people as they have a high chance
to hit their head on the lights.
Eye Strain Eye strain is also possible in our
working environment due to extreme
use of the computers, which could
potentially cause migraines or other
serious issues.
Water Spill Water Spill could be dangerous due
to many various reasons within the
environment. A major hazard could
be due to a spillage on electrical
components which could cause
catastrophic events to unfold. This
could include electric shocks up to
20 meters to people nearby, which
could cause intense damage. It
would also ruin the actual electrical
components needed in the
environment.

(3) What controls exist to reduce
risk
For the Tripping Hazard, a great
way of removing the risk would be
to completely move bags out of
paths that people within the room
would take. Bags could also be put
aside in one small space to ensure
no one trips at all. The same
Low Hanging lights could simply be
removed from the overall equation
by moving the lights wire out of the
way by placing it either above the
light itself or removing the plug it is
connected to.
Eye strain could be a serious
problem for most people within the
working environment, but can
easily be counter-acted by taking
short breaks whilst working to
ensure possible migraines and
headaches can be evaded.
Water spillage is a very simple
thing to evade. The easiest way to
avoid this problem as a whole, is
by not drinking in the working
environment. The college rule is no
drinking in lesson, unless it is
water. However, if someone feels
the need to drink during the lesson
they should do it away from
electrical components.

to further reduce risk?

simply solved within the work
environment by people taking the
time to move their bags and
tucking their chairs in to ensure
that no one gets hurt and no one
suffers any serious damage.
The low hanging lights situation
could be easily solved by
removing the wires from ceiling
and placing them in safe place,
unless the light is required for the
pictures.
Eye strain could be easily evaded
by taking short intervals between
long periods of work as this could
avoid migraines and headaches.
Water spillage is easy to evade as
you could simply place your water
bottles away from any electrical
components. You could also put
any potential bottled liquid away in
your bag.
