1st Responders Dinner FUMC Postponed until the Fall. Scouts were asked to help serve this dinner at church for
1st Responders, but the dinner has been postponed to a later date in the Fall. The Church will notify the Troop of
the new date.

Shane Zovinkas 3rd Eagle Scout Project Work Day


When: Saturday, June 24th, 2017
Where: Meet at Saint Francis University Science Center, Loretto, PA at 1:40pm
What: Scouts will be working on mulching and constructing drainage for a new walking trail. Dress
according to the weather and be prepared to work outdoors. Gloves and hiking shoes are
recommended. This event counts as service hours for rank advancement
We will be back in Duncansville by 5pm. (Including Dinner) Pizza and drinks will be provided for the
attending Scouts.

Were you at Court of Honor last night. There are lots of Campouts coming up for the summer and fall. Check
out Troop 32s FaceBook Page!! The video from last nights CoH is posted on there. The video shows what the
Troop did in the last 3 months AND it show what the campouts are giong to be in July, Aug, Sept, and October.
Check it out. And Like the Page and Share the Page. The more we get our Troop information out
there, hopefully the more will participate and others may get involved!!!

ALL ABOARD The scouts are planning a group train ride on the Everett RR Steam Engine on Sunday July 16 th @
2:30. Reservations need to be made in advance in order to guarantee seating together. (Cut-off Date is June
19th). Families are invite to joins us at their own expense. this is the Ice Cream Special - Approximately two
hours (Includes one-hour layover at Roaring Spring- includes ice cream desserts at the station. Scouts will be paid
for by the Troop. Cost: Seniors (65 and over)- $16.20; Adults (13 to 64) - $17.10; Children (3 to 12) - $14.40; Ages
0,1 and 2 are free.
Steam Engine Ice Cream Special Sunday July 16th at 2:30pm

Merit Badge Opportunity Railroader Merit Badge will be taught on Sunday morning July 16 by ScoutMaster
Harpster prior to the Ice Cream Train Ride. If any scouts want to take this Merit Badge, please sign up with Mr.
Harpster.
Bon Fire Campout July 16th - Following the Train Ride, Troop 32 will have a Bon Fire, Dutch oven dinner and
campout at the Gallace Property. The pool will be open. Its a fun night for scouts. Scouts can come for only the
evening or stay and campout over night.
August Campout Aug 18-20, 2017 - Swallow Falls State Park, MD (near Deep Creek Lake) the Troop will be
camping at Swallow Falls State Park. The Scouts are planning activities for the campout that include enjoying the
falls and swimming holes in the Youghiogheny River. There are hiking trails and old growth forests to see
too. There are flush toilets and hot showers in our campsite. Sign up now! The Troop will meet at the church at
5:00 and depart at 5:30 on Friday and return to Hollidaysburg on Sunday at 12:00 to the Junior High. Don't miss
out on a great Campout!

September Campout Sep 15-17, 2017 Calvert Cliffs Fossil Hunting (Chesapeake Bay) I hear the beach
calling!! The cliffs which dominate the shoreline of the Chesapeake Bay of 30 miles in Calvert County, were
formed over 15 million years ago when all of Southern Maryland was covered by a warm, shallow sea. Over 600
species of fossils have been identified from these cliffs, with the teeth of various species of shark aw the most
abundant fossils. Along with the interesting cliffs, the park offers nature trails, picnic areas, playground
equipment, fishing and many interpretive programs. How many sharks teeth can we find. Sign up now! The
Troop will meet at the church at 5:00 and depart at 5:30 on Friday and return to Hollidaysburg on Sunday at
11:00am to the Junior High. Don't miss out on a great Campout!

October Campout Oct 20-22, 2017 Antietam National Battlefield The Troop will be camping at Rohrbach
Campgrounds on the battlefield area and following the Historical Guide Book for a 10 mile hike learning all about
the Battle of Antietam and earning a Antietam Patch.
The Battle of Antietam, or Sharpsburg, on September 17, 1862, was the tragic culmination of Robert E. Lee's first
invasion of the North. That one fateful day more than 23,110 men were killed, wounded, or listed as missing.
Approximately 4,000 were killed, and in the days that followed, many more died of wounds or disease. The
peaceful village of Sharpsburg turned into a huge hospital and burial ground extending for miles in all directions.
Sign up now! The Troop will meet at the church at 5:00 and depart at 5:30 on Friday and return to Hollidaysburg
on Sunday at 11:00am to the Junior High. Don't miss out on a great Campout!
