Summer is off to a great start! We have had beautiful weather and lots of
wonderful friends to enjoy it with. We also have a student teacher this summer!
Her name is Miss. Ami Bogda and we are enjoying having her in our classroom.
She will be with us until the end of July.

We started out the month with some buggy fun. We leaned about different
kinds of bugs by reading about them, watching videos, and studying them with
magnifying glasses in the science area. We made fun projects, painted with
plastic bugs, searched for "bugs" in the sensory box, and did some buggy
rhyming!
The second week of June was All About DADS!! The kids spent the week
making projects and presents for their dads. On Friday June 16th we invited all
of the Dads in for Donuts for Dads! We had donuts, juice, milk and coffee. The
kids were able to share their gifts with their dads and show them around the
classroom. We had an excellent turn out! Thanks to all of the Dads that were
able to attend!
One of our favorite summer topics is leaning about zoo animals. This year it
was even more exciting because we actually went on a field trip to The Zoo!! We appreciate all of the parents that
were able to take their kiddos and spend the day with us! We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.
In honor of it officially being Summer, we spent a week of Summer Fun! Our main theme for the week was Ice
Cream. We transformed the dramatic play are into Firelands Ice Cream Shoppe. The kids have been taking turns
running the cash register, taking orders and serving up ice cream. Thank you to The Meislers for donating all of the
ice cream tubs and cups! We attempted to make our very own ice cream in a bag but it was not freezing for us. Not to
worry, we had ice cream on stand by just in case! In addition to all of the ice cream fun, it wouldn't be summer
without fresh squeezed lemonade! Not only did they work hard to make the lemonade, it tasted delicious too!!

We will be CLOSED July 3rd and 4th to celebrate Independence Day! We hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday
weekend!
