Secure ID PIN Generation Guide

Disclaimer: This document applies to the Infosys provided secure id cards. Kindly do not circulate this
document for any other /RSA secure ids which are not procured/ provided by Infosys.

Overview of secure id PIN PAD:

LCD (Token code)

Numeric Digits Refresh LCD Token Code (if PIN is entered wrongly)

Enter Button (Diamond Shaped)

Step 1 :

Click on the following link :

In case of any problem , kindly copy the link and paste it in the web browsers address bar.

You will get the following page :

Step 2 :

Type your Infosys User ID in the User name text field.

In the Passcode field type the 6 digit token code displayed on the LCD display.

Click on Log On after you enter the details.

Step 3 :

!!! : Kindly refer Step 4 before clicking on Generated PIN in below screen shot .The following page
(after clicking Generated PIN ) will contain a 4 digit PIN which you need to remember to use the
secure id. Kindly do not share the PIN to any one or do not forget the PIN.
Step 4 :

4 digit PIN will be displayed in the Red mark area.

You got only 10 seconds to note the PIN. So get prepared to note the PIN.

Guys , now click on Generated PIN shown in Step 3. Note the 4 digit PIN carefully.

Step 5 : <<Important>>

Type the 4 digit PIN in the Secure id card and press on diamond shaped button in secure id to generate
the 6 digit Passcode(displayed in LCD).

Guys, from now on kindly generate the Passcode every time by typing the PIN in the secure id and
pressing the Diamond key. The generated 6 digit Passcode is displayed in the LCD screen.

Type in the web browser as directed below:

Step 6 :

Click on Log On to log-in to xnet.infosys.com for the first time. The following page will be displayed.

!!! It is mandatory for all users to go through Q&A section <1-7>.

Qs & As Section :
Q1. Will my secure id account get locked? How?

A1. Yes! Three unsuccessful attempts will lock the secure id account.

Q2. How to unlock my secure id account?

A2. Only a Secure id admin can unlock your secure id account.

When writing to ccd_gsc@infosys.com , please mention your full name, employee number, your Infosys
email id & your contact number(s).

You can also raise an AHD case with the local, near by CCD team to unlock the secure id account.
Category of the AHD is SecureID->Problem .

If your access is expired , kindly return your secure id to B3 basement Hyderabad DC or to any other
nearby Infosys DC. In case you require the secure id , kindly raise an AHD request under SecureID-
>Allocation to extend the secure id . Kindly provide proper business justification(DMs approval-
clearly mentioning the no. of days you want the secure id (or) Approved iTravel/Pay world extension
screen shot with the no. of days available at the bottom) for the extension of secure id (Applicable
only if your JL / PL is less than or equal to 5).

Q3. Should I generate PIN every time?

A3. No! PIN is only one time generation. Only the Passcode is to be generated every time as shown in
Step 5. Once the 4 digit PIN is generated, follow Step 5 every time to log-in to xnet or through VPN.

Q4. Will my Infosys user id and password account get locked if my secure id account is locked?

A4. No! Infosys account will not get locked.

Q5. Can I type itlinfosys\<<User ID>> in the User Name field as below? (Applicable any time)

A5. No! It wont work.

Q6. How to connect through VPN?

A6. Double click on the icon in the Systems Tray ( ).

You will get the following screen :

Type your Infosys User Name and your Passcode(refer Step 5) in respective fields.

Select any Location Profile listed in the list box and click on Connect to get connected to Infosys
network. We prefer to connect through any *-VPN-Basic connectivity.

Q7. I replaced my secure id. Will my PIN for the new secure id be the same as my old secure id ?

A7. No! PIN for each secure id is different.

Q8. I am stuck-up in Step 2 . What is the problem? I am not getting the step 3 page.

A8. Do not panic. Kindly note that the Token Code will change once in 60 seconds. Each bar in the LCD
display equals 10 seconds. You can keep track of the new token codes validity with the number of bars
displayed in the LCD. If there are 5 bars then the Token Code has validity of 50 seconds.

Case 1IF this is the first time you are using this secure id to generate PIN and you are not able to
Login, then try in a broadband setup . If problem persists , then the problem is with the secure id.

Remember that three unsuccessful attempts will lock your secure id account. Check Q&A2 for account
un-lock.

Case 2If you are using the secure id for a long time and you are not able to login, kindly expedite
AMANAT page about your secure id access validity .

Infosys DC. In case you require the secure id , kindly raise an AHD request under SecureID->Allocation
to extend the secure id . Kindly provide proper business justification(DMs approval-clearly mentioning
the no. of days you want the secure id or Approved iTravel/Pay world extension screen shot with the
no. of days available at the bottom) for the extension of secure id (Business justification is applicable
only if your JL / PL is less than or equal to 5).
