FRIENDSHIPS

Saloomi, over the last eighteen months I have watched you build a great relationship with Aemon. At
first it was hard as you were both very little however as you both aged your friendship blossomed. You
would call Aemon over to an activity saying Aemon, Aemon and then come and hold his hand and take him
to whatever you were doing. The bond you have is like brothers, at food times you would sit next to each
other and share your food however when it came to toys you would often want what the other had,
although it wasnt long before you began sharing, Aemon knew how much you loved the rocking horse and
when you were upset he would bring the horse to you and pat the seat for you to sit down. You are showing
kindness towards your friends which is so nice to see, and I think you have learnt this from your family
by watching how caring they are towards each other.

Te Whariki: Children experience an environment where they are encouraged to learn with and
alongside others. Outcomes: Using a range of strategies and skills to play and learn with others
Saloomi, you are demonstrating compassion and understanding of others around you which is a
great skill to have as you start to transition into the overtwo classroom.
