Welcome home Saloomi

Wow its so great to have you back

Saloomi it seems like you have been on
holiday for a long time. We missed you
so much however I think your best
friend Aemon missed you more.

Today I set up a painting activity and

Aemon got straight into it however you
seemed to be unsure and decided to
step back and watch for a bit. Aemon
kept trying to give you the paint brush however you kept pushing it away, you just
werent ready. After watching Aemon getting excited with every stroke of his
brush, you reached out and picked up the brush with your left hand (mmm I
wonder if youre going to be left handed, I will keep observing to see which hand
is more dominant) and began painting. Together you and Aemon painted a beautiful
picture, your laughter and chatter should be you were happy to be back with your
friend.

Te Whariki: Belonging / Mana whenua.

Goal: Children and their families experience an environment where they know they have a place.
Evidence of learning: These outcomes will be observed as learning in progress when, for example,
children demonstrate A feeling of belonging and that they have a right to belong in the early
childcare setting.

Parents Voice: Saloomi is so happy to be back at the school, he missed you very much, when the
other kids are going to school he asks for you and goes outside to see if your car is here. He
gets very sad so thank you for making him happy. Haifa.
