What is CQ?
CQ is the ability to work with the different people who belongs to different cultures. This is one of the
important quality of a project manager because he has to manage different people in a team.
CQ is very important in the project environment because in a project there are many people of different culture
so as a good project manager you have to know that what is in their culture? what their likes and dislikes? so
these things are important for every project manager. For example, project management is international field, so
in future a person can get a chance to go to different country for a project. so at that time, a person should know
about that country's culture for manage a project. This will help him to manage a project in more efficient way.
If you know about your workers culture and you are joining them in their festivals then it will motivate them to
do work.

yes, I have used my CQ in the past. When I was in India, I did not get a chance to use my CQ. But in Canada, I
got this chance at my workplace. I was worked in Amazon and my manager went for meeting and tell me to see
the work. In my team, there are people from south India and Phillipine people. At that time, I know about some
things about south Indian culture but did not know about phillipine people. so its easy to manage south Indian
than phillipine people for me. At that time, I learnt many things about phillipine people about their country as
well as thier culture. So, now I know main things about thier culture.
I will further develop my CQ by meeting people who belongs to different culture. At my workplace, I always
communicate with people from different background. This will help me to develop my communication skills as
well as my cultural knowledge. I will also get to know about different culture from various sources available on
internet.
PART B:
My partner is Shanthi Mitra and I learnt many things from her. She explained well about Cultural Intelligence.
She gave a example about her work that how she learnt Hindi language from her workplace. This is very
important thing because if we are learning from our classmate and co workers then we can improve our cultural
intelligence which will help us in our future. .She also explained well about the importance of cultural

I learnt about me from her statement that I she learnt a language from her co worker like her I will also share my
