As a non-traditional applicant, I believe that I have acquired numerous

attributes through past work, volunteer, and personal experiences that
encompass TCMCs missions and values showing how I have developed into a
unique candidate fit for this institution.
Having exposure to different health-related professions, I was able to
develop a variety of traits that have enabled me to efficiently and effectively
interact with people on an interpersonal level. Implementing qualities like
compassion, integrity, humility, and empathy into daily practice, I will be able to
contribute as a valued member of the community collaborating proficiently with
others on various projects in order to raise communal health awareness and act
as a steward who advocates for improving quality of life within the community.
Being faced with personal adversity has shaped my understanding of how
lives can change at any moment. In dealing with unforeseen circumstances, I
have learned that life does not always follow a straight path. Obstacles are put in
front of an individual to see if are able to move forward or choose an alternative
path. What makes my candidacy unique is that although I experienced hardship,
adopting a positive attitude and having resilient work ethic showed my motivation
to learn from past mistakes and commit to success.
I believe these experiences have provided a foundational framework onto
which I will be able contribute to as a prospective member of the TCMC
community.
