What is PE-Nut?

PE-Nut is a nutrition and physical education program that uses a Meet your Nutrition
whole-school approach to motivate students, parents and educators to be Educator
physically active and eat healthier. PE-Nut is designed to improve health
behaviors in a school environment by presenting simple, consistent nutrition
and physical activity messages via multiple approaches and locations.
A trained Nutrition Educator from the National Kidney Foundation of
Michigan will be visiting your classroom 5 times between now and the end of
the school year. On the back of this newsletter, you will find a list of Healthy
Classroom, Healthy Schools activities we will be carrying out in your
classroom. Take a look at the suggested supplemental activities in that unit
and consider doing them with your students during the month of our visit!
