In this table, it shows the twenty (20) respondents from Kinder level of Saint Michael's College of
Laguna. It is consist of 12 boys which make up the sixty percent (60%) of the total respondents and 8 girl
whick make up the forty percent (40%) of the total respondents in Kinder level.

Eleven (11) or fifty-five percent (55%) of the total respondents answered yes while nine (9) or forty-five
percent (45%) of the total respondents answered no.

1 said that they eat inside their classroom while four (4) or fourty percent (40%) of the total number of
respondents who answered no to question number 1 said that they eat in their home.

2.) On average, how many times in a week do you eat fast food?
Four (4) or twenty percent (20%) of the total number of respondents answered once, nine (9) or forty-
five percent (45%) of the total number of respondents answered twice, four (4) or twenty percent (20%)
of the total number of respondents answered three or more while three (3) or fifteen percent (15%) of
the total number of respondents said that they don't eat junk foods.

3.) What kind of food do you eat during recess time?
Four (4) or twenty percent (20%) of the total number of respondents answered meat, fourteen (14) or
seventy percent (70%) of the total number of respondents answered bread or biscuits, two (2) or ten
percent (10%) of the total number of respondents answered chips/junk foods while zero (0) answered
others.

Seven (7) or thirty-five percent (35%) of the total number of respondents answered meat, ten (10) or
fifty percent (50%) of the total number of respondents answered vegetables while three (3) or fifteen
percent (15) of the total number of respondents answered snacks (biscuits, crackers, etc.).

All of the eight (8) respondents who answered yes on question number 5 said that they like junk foods
because it is delicious.
Conclusion
Based on the research and the gathered data from the respondents, the researchers thereofore
conclude that:
1. Most of the kindergarten pupils eat in the canteen. The data that the researchers gathered
showed that majority of kinder students eat in the canteen. The data gathered indicates that
eleven (11) or fifty-five percent (55%) of the total number respondents eats in the cafeteria.
2. Majority of kindergarten pupils eat or consume fast food atleast twice a week. Data shows that
nine (9) respondents or forty-five percent (45%) of the total number of respondents consumes
fast food for atleast two times a week.
3. Majority of kindergarten pupils eats vegetables during their recess time. data shows that
fourteen (14) or seventy percent (70%) of the total respondents are eating vegetables for their
recess.
4. Kindergarten pupils who are not eating junk foods are much higher than the kindergartn pupils
who are eating junk foods. Data shows that twelve (12) or sixty lercent (60%) of the respondents
are not eating junk foods while only eight (8) or forty percent (40%) of the total respondents are
eating junk foods.
5. Biscuits, crackers, and pastries, which are good source of carbohydrates, are the much preferred
food of kindergarten students. Data shows that fourteen (14) or seventy percent (70%) of the
total number of respondents said that they like biscuits,crackers, or pastries the most compared
to meat that only got four (4) or twenty percent (20%) of the total respondents, and chips/junk
foods which only preferred by two (2) orten percent (10%) of the total number of respondents.)
Recommendations
Based on the conclusions presented above, the researchers therefore recommend that:
1. Monitor the fast food intake of kindergarten pupils. Fast food is obviously not a very good
source of proper nutrition and should be, if not prevented, controlled.
2. Educate and inform the kindergarten pupils of the proper food, diet, and nutrition for their age.
3. Regulate the availability to primary level students especially, kindergarten pupils of fast food,
junk foods and other unhealthy food in the canteen. If possible, restrict the primary level from
buying this unhealthy foods.
4. Gather additional data that may contribute to the research that has been conducted. Use the
informations and data gathered by the researchers of this research to solidify or strengthen
similar researches that are being planned or currently being conducted.
