CHAPTER IV
This chapter presents the analysis and interpretation of the gathered data.
The obtained data were statistically analyzed and the results were presented in tabular

Table 1 shows the frequency and percentage distribution of the grade level of the
respondents.
The data reveals that there are more Grade 10 respondents than the other grade level.
The Grade 10 ranks at one with the percentage of 38%. While the Grade 9 ranks as the second
with the percentage of 26%, then followed by the Grade 8 that ranks at third with the
percentage of 20%. Then lastly, the Grade 7 that ranks at fifth with the percentage of 16%.
The data shows that the Grade 10 students eats street foods more than the other grade
levels.

The data shows that 68% of the respondents of the junior high school students are aged
14-16 with ranks first, then it is followed by the students aged 11-13 with the percentage of 24

Table 3 shows the frequency and percentage distribution for the health background of
the respondents.
Based on the data, the number of respondents who has Food Allergies are 24 with the
percentage of 52 that ranks as one. Then, it is followed by UTI with the percentage of 42 that
ranks as second, then Diarrhea that ranks at third with the percentage of 36, followed by the
percentage of 6 of Food Poisoning and Others which ranks at 4. With Obesity that follows with
the percentage of 4 that ranks at 5, and Hepatitis that ranks at 6 with its percentage of 2. Lastly,
Summarizing the data, the respondents has or had Food Allergies more than the other
diseases. It is clear that the respondents did not have Typhoid Fever and Cholera which are the
diseases that you can obtain in eating street foods. Meanwhile, the diseases Diarrhea, Hepatitis
and Food Poisoning, that are also common diseases in street foods, also gave contribution in
the respondent’s health background. UTI and Obesity, the possible diseases that you can get
from street foods, also gave contribution and also are dominant in the ranking especially UTI.

1 with the percentage of 42. It is followed by the answer once every 2-3 weeks that ranks at 2

In conclusion, the majority of respondents eat street foods twice a week than the other

school. This proves that the students disregard the other possible outcome of street food
vending outside the school and agrees on the vending of such foods.

frequency of 43. It sums up that the majority of respondents doesn’t get or feel sick after eating
street foods. While on the other hand, there’s still a number of respondents who get or feel sick

followed by the answer Fishball with the percentage of 62 which ranked second and then the
percentage of 58 of the answer Kikiam that ranked third, following the answer Chicken skin
that ranked fourth with the percentage of 52, followed by the answers Squidball and Balut with
the percentage of 26 that ranked as fifth and then the answer Chickenball that ranked as sixth
with its percentage of 22 followed by the percentage of 8 of the answer One Day Old which
ranked as seventh and lastly, the others that ranked as eighth with its percentage of 6.
In conclusion, the street food kwek-kwek is the sought-after food overall. Kwek-Kwek is
eaten by the junior high school students and is the one that they mostly prefer than other street
foods. To summarize, Kwek-kwek, Fishball, Chicken Skin and Kikiam are the street foods that
are popular or usually eaten by the junior high school respondents and the street food One Day

To summarize, the majority of the respondents eat street foods because they think
street foods are delicious. Some considers street foods as cheap and they lack of budget that’s
why they eat it. Some eats street food because they’re just hungry and they crave it. The
respondents also consider street foods just because it is close to their area.

The data shows that the respondents mostly eat street foods whenever they like it as it is
the most picked choice. Followed by the influence of their friends and their hungriness and
lack of budget.

respondents are aware of the effects that street foods might cause to them. The answer Yes

To summarize, most of the respondents thinks that the problem regarding street foods

answers are also learning the effects of street foods to their health. The other respondents think
that the problem will be solved if the consumers know the effects of street foods to their health.
