Q.

Two different balls are thrown to the horizontally in opposite direction at the same
time. One is thrown to the right with 1 = 3 m/s and another one is thrown to the left
with 2 = 4 m/s . Guess how long the distance between them will change in 10
seconds.

Answer.

The height of both objects will always be the same because they have identical initial
height, accelerate equally, so their vertical velocity must be same. Therefore, only the
horizontal direction makes change.

Relative velocity is 7 m/s to horizontal direction. Consequently, the distance will

increase by 7 m/s. As a result, the distance variance will be 70 m after 10 seconds.
