ADVANCE PREPARATION (30 MINUTES)
Reading Prepare a background activity as needed: chain mail.
Create main idea bags, one for each group. Put related items into a bag. Give each group different items. For
instance, one bag could have a baking cup, timer, measuring spoons, and a pan to represent the main idea
baking. Another bag could have a ponytail holder, hairbrush, hairclip, and hairspray to represent the main
idea hairstyling. Another bag could have a fan, bottle water, sunglasses, and sunscreen to represent the main
idea summer.
