Religion in Egypt is very important to every culture. Religion is the belifes or other stuff
the Egyptians belive in. Unlike Mesoptimia who had glommy life after death the Egyptians had a
hopeful view. The Egyptians belived that life in the next world would be better than life on
earth, belived that dead would reach a place of peace and plenty, also belived that the
Pharaohs sprit ( ruler of the whole Egypt) needed a body to make a journey to the afterlife,
they would belive that if they had led, good lives in the new magic spells, belived that god Osiris
would meet newcomers at the enterance of the next world. They belived in many other stuff
too like they belived in the pharaohs a lot saying that the pharaohs were the son of god. The
main gods and goddess they belived in were Osiris, Hapi, and Iris the goddess. They also
belived that deities controlled the forces of nature and human activites. The Egyptians also say
that Pharaohs and special people could enjoy the afterlife. The meaning of embalming is the
process developed by the ancient Egyptians of preserving a persons body after death. The
Egyptians embaled the body of a Paraoh with linen cloth after the Paraohs death. They built
pyrmaids to protect the Pharaohs body from geographic reactions such as heavey rainfall, flods
, and more. The Egyptians made medicine and learned about it. Egyptian doctors used herbs
and drugs to treat or cure many different illnesses. Some of the doctors focused on treating
particular parts of the body, and becoming the first speacilists in medicine. The doctors and the
Priests did the process called embaling. First the priests remove the body organs, and store it
for a number of days to dry. After, the body was filled with spices and perfumes, then stitched
closed. Next the body was cleaned with oils and tightly wrapped in long strips of linen. Learning
about the religion of Egypt is interesting and different from our religion but I want to learn
more.
