PROJECT PROPOSAL

I. TITLE OF THE PROJECT:

Hanging Plants with a Purpose

II. Objectives :

1. To promote clean and green environment at LCCC.

2. To cover the side of the grills in the corridor so that the strong sunlight will be
block and the students can participate the flag ceremony outside of their classroom.

3. To make the student participate educate to become environmentalist.

III. Rationale
Gardening has been shown to have significant health benefits. For starters, it
encourages people to engage in other behaviors and activities that promote wellness.
Gardening also reduces stress and improves mental health. And it counts as moderate-
intensity exercise, which can help people live longer. In 2009, designer Paul Williams
wrote in The Telegraph that, drama and lavish extravagance is what I love about
hanging baskets, with their lush cascades of flowers. He also states that theyre a
great way to avoid run-of-the-mill garden designs as each basket will be different,
depending on how you want to decorate it in relation to your garden. Instead of
asking Why have hanging plants? the question should be Why not?! Hanging
plants are a great way of creating a tidy, clean and professional looking outdoor area,
whether its for your own back garden or the entrance of an office.

IV. Description of the Project :

Since Senior High School students are suffering from strong sunlight every morning
when they participate flag ceremony in their corridors, thus as solution of this
problem, each strands will provide a hanging plants in the grills in their corridor. The
pot of the plant is from recycled bottles. Students will use 1.5 liters of plastic bottles
soft drinks as a pot of their plants. Students will going to benefit a lot from this
project.
