Welcome to english as a second language podcast number 100 and interview
with dr. Dove Niccolan

This is english as a second language podcast number 100. Today i am your

host Dr. Lucy C. from the senior for educanional development in beautifull Los
Angles California. In this special podcast i will be training the ... or changing
things around and will interview Dr. Dove Niccolan. Lets get started

Welcome Dove, my first question is one that i think a lot of listeners will want
to know. Why did you decide to start eslpodcast ? Well, thats a good
question, there are couple of reason I think I want it to do this show. One is that
I use to teach esl english ass second language for many years I did, and because
I am so busy with my current job its difficult for me to go out and teach a class,
interm my time, and this is a way for me to still view like I am teaching and
helping people without having to actually go to a classroom, so thats one
reason. The other reason is I think tht podcast team is a wonderfull new
technology that is going to change the way we learn language, yes because it
give people an opportunity to listen different things and the people like my self
an opportunity to... and produce those, thanks. That is different traditional text
book so I think both of the reason.

Thats very interesting How do you decide with topics to include in the
podcast? Well initially at the beginning I had a lot the the topics that.... or
write down... much of the topic in my head that is without really thingking
about it very muchand those are base on my experience in teaching, and what I
think or... people needed now of course... you Lucy, and I write some this script
and we also course like ideas from people who are listening. So people email
his ideas. And those are very usefull and we have a... of ideas we also tried to
do a little bit and different topics something about travel maybe something
about business so we tried for idea of topics around the week.

I often see you working on eslpodcast, but I know that listeners will like to
know how long... you to do it podcast? Its a good question
