Dear Collagues,

The ISHMO (Indonesian Society Hematology Medical Oncology) is a professional organization, founded
on 2011, now have 283 members in 14 chapters across Indonesia. Our vision is to improve the quality of
knowledge and medical services in the field of Hematology and Medical Oncology in Indonesia to meet
regional and international standard. Our activities are ranging from education, research, social and
scientific activities.

Every year we held symposium and workshop with the name ROICAM (The Role of Internist in Cancer
Management). This Event has been held since 2012, with an increasing number of participants and
followed by medical student, general practitioner, nurse, resident, internist and consultant around the
country, from Sabang to Merauke. Knowledge, technology, and medicine in the management of patient
especially in hematology and medical oncology has been improved progressively, therefore ROICAM is
expected to contribute in providing complete and optimal health services for cancer patient in
Indonesia.

ROICAM 5 will be held in April 6 -9 2017 with the theme : Giving Hope Through Togetherness.
ROICAM 5 will present an update on management of patients with a multidisciplinary approach from
diagnostic, treatment, palliative, supportive and preventive medicine. It will include the most common
issue update of Hematology Medical Oncology, covering the role of general internist, consultant
oncology, specialist, general practitioner and nurse. We will provide scientific program which consist of
workshop pre conference, plenary lectures and educational lectures by International faculty of ESMO
(European Society Medical Oncology), symposium, meet the experts and awareness campaign for
cancer survivor as social program.

We believe ROICAM 5 can be a good opportunity to discuss, widen network and give enlightment in the
management of Cancer Patient in National Health Coverage era.
