9.1.V PK.E Use imagination and creativity to express self through visual arts. The
learner will create a work of art to represent a real or imagined object, animal, or
person.

Objectives Students will be able to spell the letter B while creating a representation of
a bear.

Materials The material I will need is construction papers with cut outs of the letter
B, different color construction paper, markers, googly eyes, and glue.

Description of the Activity Motivation: To motivate the students I will ask them what animal we have
been talking about? Then I will ask them what letter it starts with.

I do:
I will tell them that bear start with the letter B. Then I will tell them that
today they will decorate the letter B to make it look like a bear.

We Do:
We will go over what a bear looks like.
You Do:
The students will glue on the letter B on the construction paper. Then they
will put eyes, and mouth, and paws to make it look like a bear.

Assessment Through my observation I will see if the student can identify the letter we
are decorating and know that it is the first letter of the word Bear.
Documentation The documentation for this lesson plan is the finished project.

The students made a bear out of the letter B. They seemed to get the
Reflections: concept that bear start with the letter B. They decorated their bear
using different shapes and made their bears unique.
