Insulation Test: How To Apply The Correction Temperature Factor Formula

This document provides instructions on how to apply a temperature correction factor to adjust measured insulation resistance values to a standard temperature of 20 degrees Celsius. The formula shown calculates the standardized insulation resistance value using the measured resistance, a temperature correction factor from an appendix table according to material class, and assuming the standard temperature of 20 degrees Celsius for proper comparison. An example problem demonstrates applying a temperature correction factor of 10.45 for a Class A material with a measured resistance of 10 Giga Ohm at 50 degrees Celsius, yielding a standardized resistance value of 104.5 Giga Ohm.

INSULATION TEST

HOW TO APPLY THE CORRECTION TEMPERATURE FACTOR

FORMULA :

DIMANA :

Rmeasured is the measured insulation resistance. Typically in mega ohm or giga ohm
Rstandard is insulation resistance at the standard temperature ( 20 celcius )
F is insulation resistance temperature correction factor from the table appendix.
Table temperature correction factor
Contoh :

Tmeasured = 50 celcius , CLASS A, RMEASURED = 10 GIGA OHM

SEHINGGA CORRECTION FACTOR: 10 GIGA OHM x 10.45 = 104.5 GIGA OHM
