prepared notes of the pupil.

Content analysis
Terms: Rhombus, Square.
Facts: (i). Sides of the square and rhombus are equal.
(ii). Diagonals of the square are equal but different in rhombus
Concept: The Concept of square and rhombus.
Learning outcomes: (1). Recall the information about rhombus and square.
(2). Describe the concept of rhombus and square.
(3). Understand the relationship between sides and diagonals
of rhombus square.
(4). Explain the ideas of sides and diagonals in rhombus and
square.

Pre-requisites: Pupil know about square, rhombus.
Teaching learning resource:
Paper cut outs, usual class room aid.
Learning strategy: Individual work Group activity
Classroom interaction procedure Expected pupil response
Presentation: Today, I am going to teach
you through a new concept
Activity – 1
I am going to tell you
about a special type of
alebration held at colony
during ‘X’ mas.
You have to listen the
story very carefully because
you have to find out the
answers hidden in the story.
No the evening of the
‘X” mas day as a part of
celebration a special type of
game was organized. 8
members with equal height
were selected from the colony
and organized into 2 groups.
The game is each
group has to form a figure.
The first group was on the
stage. They formed a figure
by two members standing
opposite to the other two. In
such a manner that one
members faces the other and
by each member joining
hands with members joining
hands with members adjacent
to him. After that the opposite
members tried to join their
hands and lucky it was
successful
Second family entered Students try to show that figure
the stage. They formed the
figure in the same manner as
the first family did. After
forming the figure the
opposite member tried to join
their hands, but it was
unsuccessful.
Can you tell the name The first figure is square. The second figure
of these figure is rhombus.
The length of the diagonals of a square is
same but in the case of rhombus, Its length
of the diagonal is not same

Activity – 2
Teacher divided into 4
groups and give some paper
cuts.
Identify the figures of
square and rhombus given
below
Closure: Sides are equal but the length of the diagonal
What is the difference of a square is same but length of the
between square and rhombus diagonal
Concluding the class
Teacher sing a song

1. A square is fair
A square is far
A square is EQUAL EVERYWHERE
If a shapes has a sides and they are all the same and shape has a
angles and they are all the same and shape in points, They you
known then name
Its square(3)

2. A Rhombus is a shape
All the sides have equal length
The opposite sides are parallel, they go the same way
(A rhombus)

Follow up activity

1. Draw a square of length 5cm

2. Draw a rhombus of length 6cm and diagonal are 5 and 11.
