A VISIT TO OLD FOLK’S HOME

Last Sunday, 13 January 2017, a group of students from Selangor High School made a visit
to an old folk’s home located at Tanjung Karang, Selangor. The students stand from three girl and
three boys. They went there by bus early in the morning.

After 30 minutes, they reach at the old folk’s home. The owner, Ms. Alice welcomed the
students happily. Ms. Alice introduced the students to the household. The students took this
opportunity to know more about the old folks. They playing chess together, listening to their sad
background stories, and telling them some funny stories just to please them. After the activities, the
old folks said that they were very happy with the visit and hope the student will come again and
accompany them.

The conclusion is, we must appreciate the elderly. We have many ways to show our
appreciation towards them. Some of the ways are we as children to our parents can greeting them
when their birthday and anniversary coming. We also can make friend with the parents who are
alone either we know them or not.
