Procedures:
1. Put a piece of writing on the overhead that has strong organization.
2. With the students, identify the transitional words and phrases and list them on the board. 3. Organize the words and phrases into various categories using the chart given. 4. Ask the students to select a piece of their own writing and look for places where they could add transitional phrases to strengthen organization. 5.
