Affixes
Affixes are set of letters generally
added to the beginning or end of the
root word to modify its meaning. The
meaning of base word changes when
affixes are added to it.

There are two main types of Affixes


*PREFIXES *SUFFIXES
A PREFIX a group of
letters placed at the
beginning of the word to
add or change its meaning.

AFFIXES

Affixes refer to letters and/or syllables added at the beginning or


at the end of the base word. The meaning of the base word
changes when affixes are added to it.

Affixes are classified into two: the prefix and the suffix.
Prefixes are placed before the word while suffixes are added
after.
